Boils and acne are a common growth phenomenon among teenagers. It is not an easy problem for them to cope with as they face a lot of peer pressure. However these problems that can be cured easily with home based remedies or medication.

A boil is a common skin infection. It can ranges in severity from being a pimple to an abscess. The reason some people have boils is that they are vulnerable to bacteria.

These boils are extremely painful are red in color. They can develop on all parts of the body and are filled with pus formed by bacteria. Some of these lumps or boils last for short periods, while others may take a long time to cure.

Boils can be formed if you eat the wrong types of food. Spicy, oily and other junk food are the main culprits. Some types of medication also cause hormonal changes which result in boils and other skin infections.

Sweating is also another reason for developing boils. It is best to keep your self clean and dry while you go out in the sun. Never scratch the boils as it spreads the infection. Avoid squeezing the boil or pricking it to remove pus. This can also spread the infection.

If the pain is unbearable then consult a good dermatologist. The dermatologist may give you medication and recommend a surgery if required. Keep your skin clean and oily free so that dust doesn't accumulate. Boils may sometimes lead to scars and marks if you try to forcibly remove them. Drink lots of water and include lots of green vegetables and fruits in your diet.
